We expect all residents to:

• Respect the privacy and personal boundaries of others
• Participate in community meetings and decision-making processes

Residents are expected to engage in structured daily routines:

• Attend scheduled day programs or employment as applicable
• Complete after-program routines (changing clothes, personal hygiene)
• Participate in meal preparation and dinner routines
• Engage in evening recreational activities with staff and other residents
• Adhere to the house schedule for wake-up times, meals, and quiet hours
• Maintain personal spaces according to cleanliness standards

We encourage continuous growth in the following areas:

• Daily living skills (eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene)
• Household management (cooking, cleaning, laundry)
• Financial literacy (budgeting, saving, responsible spending)
• Time management and scheduling
• Social skills and appropriate community interaction
• Self-advocacy and communication skills

Residents are expected to actively participate in skill development programs and accept guidance from staff.

For the safety and wellbeing of all residents:

• Adhere to all house rules as outlined in the resident handbook
• Respect quiet hours and noise limitations
• Follow visitor policies and sign-in procedures
• Maintain sobriety and comply with substance-free living requirements
• Respect the physical property and belongings of others
• Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures

Repeated rule violations may result in a review of residency status. Our rules exist to ensure a safe, supportive environment for everyone.

Everyone plays a role in maintaining our community:

• Complete assigned chores according to the weekly rotation schedule
• Participate in gardening and outdoor maintenance as assigned
• Assist with kitchen duties (meal prep, cleanup, inventory)
• Help maintain cleanliness of common areas
• Participate in seasonal deep cleaning events
• Report maintenance issues promptly to staff

Social engagement is vital for wellbeing:

• Participate in scheduled house activities and community outings
• Engage in group recreational activities and games
• Attend community celebrations and special events
• Contribute ideas for social activities and outings
• Practice appropriate social skills and boundaries
• Support an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome

Educational and developmental opportunities:

• Attend GED preparation classes if applicable
• Participate in college courses or vocational training as appropriate
• Engage in job-seeking classes and employment preparation
• Complete life skills training sessions
• Attend scheduled workshops on health, wellness, and independent living

Health and wellness requirements:
